Volunteer Application

Kendra's Community Kitties is an organization made up entirely of volunteers, and its ability to continue helping feral/stray/community cats is dependent on the strength of the volunteer team. There is no commitment required to volunteer with KCK. Some volunteers can help more hours than others - but every minute is appreciated. Volunteering is a rewarding experience for any individual. You can learn new skills and get work experience. Opportunities are available to work in a team environment to assist with events, crafting, baking, etc., besides meeting new people that share the same passions and interests. You can make lifelong friends and make a huge difference in the lives of the kitties in need. You will be helping to save lives.

Some areas that volunteers are needed are:

Driving - Occasionally there may be a need for a volunteer to drive kitties to and from veterinary appointments. We need donations picked up around the city from pet stores or individuals as well as supplies dropped off to foster homes.

Assisting with TNVR program - There are many colonies of feral cats living in and around the city who need care. We rely on volunteers to feed the kitties and assist with trapping. Making crafts and baking - We regularly need volunteers to make crafts such as cat toys which we sell at fundraising events. This can be done individually as time permits, or gather a group to share new ideas. We also need people to bake for special community events.

Assisting with events - We need volunteers to represent our organization at local events such as community awareness events, fundraisers, yard sales, craft and bake sales and cat shows.

Fundraisers - Volunteers are always needed on our fundraising committee. We hope to hold bottle drives, online auctions, Canadian Tire money drives and other community fundraising events.

Volunteers are the heart and soul of a rescue organization and we would love to welcome you to Team KCK.
